I work hard waiting for the day when I can see you face-to-face again I'm scared scared that no matter how hard I try There will eventually be a final goodbye I'm torn between staying calm and Acting on this feeling that's tearing me apart I wait, I wait every second ticking by but when I'm not around you time doesn't seem to fly The clock is ticking and tocking and ticking away every moment of every day untill the day is up and the clock starts speeding up and then suddenly time just stops I look up and see that nothing's okay It seems like the clock Will never change And I let a single tear fall as I'm up against the wall because It feels like I'm stuck at midnight I'm confused how the daytime when I do not care goes on smoothly but Night hangs in the air I don't think I can ever shake the feeling that always overtakes me at night I'm beaten without you time stands still and takes all its fill and goes longer I wait, I wait every second ticking by but when I'm not around you time doesn't seem to fly The clock is ticking and tocking and ticking away every moment of every day untill the day is up and the clock starts speeding up and then suddenly time just stops I look up and see that nothing's okay It seems like the clock Will never change And I let a single tear fall as I'm up against the wall because It feels like I'm stuck at midnight I wish there was a way To make it go by I wish that there won't be A final goodbye I wish, and I wish But what good is all this If I'm really stuck at midnight And I'm waiting for the next midnight
